Race Rules

Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis, or secure your spot by prepaying your perch fees.
  1. We present a thrilling four-race series, including the 125 Mile Activation Race, 150 Mile, 250 Mile, and 350 Mile races, set to kick off in late-August or early-September, weather permitting.

  2. Must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

  3. No one working for MN Classic OLR will be permitted to enter birds.

  4. All birds belong to breeders/owner of entry, no buy backs, no auction.

  5. The perch fee at $125 per bird, or take advantage of a "pay for 4, get 1 free" offer. This fee is non-refundable and must be settled before bird shipment or upon bird delivery.

  6. Bird entries date has been extended! We will be accepting replacement and entries up to May 15th, no exceptions. (Updated 4/29/24)

  7. All participating birds must be vaccinated for PMV at least 14 days before reaching the loft, and they must be banded with a 2024 seamless band recognized by a National Organization (AU, IF, CU, etc.).

  8. All birds will be vaccinated for P.M.V. upon arrival, and their 9th and 10th flights will be pulled.

  9. Following the 125 Mile Activation Race and before the 150 Mile Race, an activation fee of $300 per bird is due.

    4. 350 miles Bethany, MO

  10. Must activate all birds, no exceptions.

  11. Fifteen percent of all entry fees will be reserved for race expenses.

  12. The final race winnings will be distributed based on the first drop and then clocking order, with prizes awarded to the top 10% of birds reaching the final race. Failure to activate all birds will result in the loss of ownership.

  13. Ownership of all birds will belong to the breeders/owners of entry. A tax identification number (IRS W-9) is required for prizes valued at $600 or more.

  14. Return fees must be settled, and birds must be retrieved within 21 days of the last race. If fees are not paid in full within this period, remaining birds become the property of the Minnesota Classic

  15. We will utilize the BENZING One Loft Race clocking system & Wincompanion for live results, and all race winnings will be paid within 21 days of the final race.

  16. In the case of unforeseen incidents, such as birds not making it to the final race or returning, prizes will be evenly split among the birds basketed for the last race.

  17. In the event of a challenging race, the clock will stop on the 3rd race day at 12 PM local time. Any unfilled positions within that period will be divided equally among all clocked birds for that race.

  18. Minnesota Classic is not liable for birds lost due to unforeseen events and retains the right to refuse service/entry to any breeder or attendee at its discretion.

  19. Loft manager reserves the right to make any and all decisions.

  20. Loft manager reserves the right to refuse entry to any breeder or attendee at his discretion. 

  21. Shipping costs are $70 for two birds per box, with an additional $10 per extra bird.

  22. The loft capacity is 600 Birds.
